idk this felt too long to be a status post so its a journal instead I want to say; I have not lost interest in Omniopteryx. At all. It's still very much a project that I'm passionate about, that I've barely scratched the surface of what I have planned for it, it's just...difficult. It's difficult to multi-task and focus on both Transformers (and trying to break into the art industry) and Omniopteryx, because both are really time-consuming things especially when I'm basically doing everything (art-wise) about Omniopteryx myself. I can't in good conscience try and recruit other people on board to do some of the artwork/visual development for me when I am in no position to fairly pay them for that work (and bc Omnis has been on hiatus for so long there is...really no incentive there so I don't think people would want to volunteer either). especially when i'm so picky/peculiar about my vision, i'm...picky in general and i'm aware of it and i don't like burdening people with that I also just worry that I'll come back and take Omnis off hiatus and it'll be too little too late and I won't be able to garner the interest in it I'd need to keep it going? and if I'm being honest I've become kind of jaded recently about the state of CS communities. I don't know if I'm at a place where I can handle the kind of toxicity that inevitably seeps into the community and comes from running one. but I still love Omniopteryx and I want to continue working on it. like I cannot stress enough that I had a MONUMENTAL amount of stuff planned for Omniopteryx; subspecies, weekly/daily activities, shops, NPCs, lore, etc. that I still want to see through I just hope I can eventually find a good way to do both of the things I love. bc rn it really does seem to be one or the other...I either ONLY have energy/time for CS, or for Transformers idk what the point of this journal was except to like. tell anyone who's even still paying attention to what i post that i haven't abandoned Omniopteryx nor have I lost interest. I've just been...struggling.
